Inexcusable by Chris Lynch

Keir Sarafian knows that he is a good guy- he is devoted to his family, a reliable teammate, and a good friend. That's why he could never do what his friend Gigi is accusing him of- good guys do not commit rape. Keir recalls the events leading up to the night in question, as he tries to prove that he really is a good guy and attempts to dismiss any behaviors that show evidence to the contrary. Keir is one of those characters that you absolutely hate- and is an absolutely (and obviously) unreliable narrator. Despite Keir's morality problems and violent behavior, he has qualities that readers will be able to identify in their own friends and family- which only increasing the disturbingness factor of the book.
