Private by Kate Brian (Private #1)

Looking to escape a difficult situation at home, fifteen-year-old Reed Brennan accepts a scholarship to prestigious Easton Academy. Reed struggles to fit in within a world that is completely different from everything she has ever known. When she sees the Billings Girls, an elite and powerful group of girls, she longers to be included and is determined to do whatever is necessary to be included in their group. Private has the feeling of a teen soap opera (such as the O.C. or One Tree Hill) and is sure to be popular with the fans of The Gossip Girls or It Girl series (or those like them). A light casual read that has interesting characters, who lack in full development, and a plot that moves along, though with some gaps.
