Dream Factory by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler

After her older brother was killed in a car accident and her grieving parents decide to become missionaries in Africa, Ella is sent to live with her aunt in Florida for the summer. After a few weeks of being the live in nanny, Ella decides to take a job as a scab at Disney World when the character cast members go on strike. Ella, cast as Cinderella, soon discovers that the happiest place on earth is not quite so happy behind the scenes. Luke, cast as Dale, is drawn to Ella even though he is dating Cassie, who plays Chip.

Barkley and Hepler have created another funny and engaging story. Luke and Ella’s rotating narration is both funny and thoughtful. The behind the scenes details of life in the Magic Kingdom will be interesting to any Disney fan. The magical setting creates an almost fairy tale romance between a princess and a chipmunk. Intriguing characters and an interesting plot make this tale the perfect light-hearted read.
