Spanking Shakespeare by Jake Wizner
Shakespeare Shapiro hates few things more than his name and the story of how his parents came to name him. Shakespeare describes his life as a series of catastrophes, one after another and has to face some cold hard facts each morning: he only has two close friends (one of whom only likes to talk about his bowel movements), he has never had a girlfriend or even kissed a girl, and his younger brother is popular, has a girlfriend and will probably lose his virginity before Shakespeare. Now, Shakespeare will have to record all the embarrassing incidents of his life in the required autobiography each senior has to write prior to graduation. Fortunately for Shakespeare, his brutal honest and sharp wit makes his writing stand out and might help him on his quests for popularity and girls.
Spanking Shakespeare has to be one of the funniest books that I have read in a long time. Completely raunchy and inappropriate, this book will certainly be a hit with any teenage boy! Shakespeare’s voice is so honest and refreshing. You can’t help but laugh out loud at his commentary on his own pathetic existence. The combination of memoir and narration provide an interesting portrayal of Shakespeare’s thoughts on the world around him. This is not a book for the squeamish or those uncomfortable by very frank talk of sex and masturbation.
