Jason has finally started to get used to life in DeVere Heights, where the popular crowd are actually vampires. Trouble turns up at Jason's door, however, in the form of his best friend Tyler, shows up unannounced from Michigan without luggage. Jason knows that Tyler is in trouble, but he has no idea how much trouble until it is too late and Tyler has found even more trouble in the form of an angry Vampire Council. A disappointing sequel to Bloodlust. Characters lacked development and improbable situations detracted from the flow of the story. Despite flaws, readers will still want more from Jason and his vampire friends. Teen partying, drugs, drinking and sex make this series more appropriate for older teens.
