To Catch a Pirate by Jade Parker
Annalisa Townsend is determined to restore her father's good name by capturing the pirates who stole the gold entrusted to him by the King. Her revenge, however, is also personal as the pirate she seeks stole a kiss from her. With a forged letter of marque, the help of her friend Nathaniel, and a loyal crew Annalisa sets out to find James Sterling and bring him to justice.
A fun and quick romance that is sure to be popular with teen girls this summer. Annalisa is a strong female who has a strong sense of justice and a clear sense of right and wrong. James is not quite the rogue that I hoped he would be, but he is likeable bad boy nonetheless. The story moves quickly with enough twists and turns to keep readers interested even though it ends rather predictably.
