Crash by Jerry Spinelli
Ever since the first grade, "Crash" Coogan has been tormenting his neighbor Penn Webb- a skinny, vegetarian, Quaker boy who lives an entirely different lifestyle from from Crash. In seventh grade, Penn becomes even more of a target for Crash and his friend Mike when Penn joins the school's cheerleading squad.
Crash was an interesting character, his journey to self-discovery was relatively predictable though it was interesting to watch him grow as a person. Even though the story was about Crash and his journey, I found myself wishing for more about Penn and his perspective on life. I found his character intriguing.
