South Beach Sizzle by Suzanne Weyn and Diana Gonzalez

Lula Cruz is headed to Miami Florida with her best friend Jeff for a summer of fun before she starts school in the fall. Lula and Jeff find a great place to live and good jobs working at a Cuban restaurant. To help the restaurant attract more customers, they form a band and enter a local competition. Lula finds herself attracted to the lead singer of a competing band, but is he interested in her, or her bands secrets? A cute story about friendship, romance, and fun but not the best in the Simon Pulse Romantic Comedies collection. The novel was very slow starting, difficult to get in to, and had less emphasis on the romance and more on the character's friendship with her best friend.
