Boy2Girl by Terence Blacker
Following the death of his mother, 13-year-old Sam goes to London to live with his aunt and her family. To gain a place in his cousin Matthew's gang of friends, The Shed, Sam agrees to start at his new school as a female to spy on a group of girls that are considered enemies of The Shed. Sam, however, makes a better girl than anyone could have predicted and soon what starts as a simple prank escalates into much more.
It's a cute story, good for a quick light read. It's humorous, but at the same time it contains issues that could open up a good discussion. The multiple narrative perspectives takes a little bit to get used to, but it puts an interesting perspective on the story- though I wished that Sam's perspective was part of the story (narrated from just about every perspective but his). The ending wraps up everything up too quickly and too neatly in my opinion, but overall it was an enjoyable read.
